Here's our story ...

The Rusty Goat Grill, located on the scenic Carriage Path in The Village of Warwick, serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week. The Rusty Goat is founded on the idea of providing fresh, healthy and natural ingredients combined and grilled warm and crispy inside a 12" soft tortilla wrap served along with 2 sides. Customers can dine in or out on our patio on the river OR take out and delivery by DoorDash.

The Rusty Goat came to Warwick in the spring of 2020, at the height of the pandemic. Our daughter, Amy, had just moved her little Bungalow Home and Gift Boutique from this very location to a larger storefront up to Main Street, where she stands today as one of Warwick’s finest shops. As the Carriage Path location stood vacant, the vision of The Rusty Goat began to evolve....Years ago, Rusty Goat owners, Jeff and Lori Struck, found a rusted lawn ornament in Lancaster, PA - a 2 foot tall rusty goat that they proudly displayed in the family yard, jokingly promising one day "if we ever get that nerve to open a restaurant, it will be called The Rusty Goat”! So, years later, faced with the vacant Carriage Path shop with its "For Rent" sign hanging in the window... the promise was kept!

Having raised 5 children in a blended marriage, healthy, fresh food was always a priority. Finding creative ways to keep each family member satisfied with various dietary concerns and choosy palates, many of the family meals were prepared separately and packed individually using each family member’s favorite ingredients cooked inside an easy-to-handle, quick-to-prepare wrap... hence the menu at The Rusty Goat highlights 25 of our families most favorite wrap meals!

Lori, owner of Highland Flowers and Gifts in neighboring Vernon, NJ, has had her eye on Warwick for years, growing up with this beloved town as a family staple for shopping, dining and entertainment since the family's roots began here in the '40s. As daughter Amy began to spread her wings into the Warwick business society, Lori followed in a natural progression with the formation of The Rusty Goat.

Jeff, in a full time career as a CNC designer of custom industrial cabinetry and Lori, owner of a busy Florist and Gift Shop found themselves with the dilemma of how to staff a new business remotely. Thankfully Amy's husband Tom stepped up to the plate to help bring the concept to life at The Goat. Tom, our son in law, took on the challenge to build our business. Finding help from the local schools, including our managers, Sheila and  Nick from Vernon, as well as after school helpers, The Goat employees began to bond and have worked together to mold our beloved Goat into a warm and inviting dining destination.

Three years later, The Goat employees, still powered by Sheila and Nick, have become a family of best friends which is obvious to anyone dining in the shop. Our son in law, Tom has since hung up his spatula and taken on a new role as Daddy to our lovely granddaughter, Stella ...The Bungalow Baby! Jeff and Lori continue to run The Goat remotely, keeping a watchful and loving eye during the pre-dawn and sunset hours. As a NEW addition, The Goat, as it is commonly known, has been  transformed as of 2024 into a fantastic Cheese Shop complete with products from around the block to around the world including hand made Live Edge Charcuterie Boards and Charcuterie accessories. And now, as of April 2024, The Goat has received her New York State Liquor License and has a lovely selection of wines, spritz's and beers!

We are grateful to the community, our employees and customers for the opportunity to bring our family’s traditions to the beautiful Village of Warwick. Our beloved Rusty Goat can now be visited every day between 10am and 4pm, as he proudly stands on his perch above the kitchen at the Rusty Goat Grill for all to see!
